Art and Design
Early Years Foundation Stage - Expressive Arts and Design
The educational programme for expressive arts and design, set out in the EYFS Framework, is delivered in our reception classes in line with the Extend Reception Curriculum.
Key Stage 1 and 2 – Art and Design
We follow the national curriculum.
In Year 1, we teach art and design in line with our multi-academy trust’s ‘Extend Early Curriculum’.
We follow the ACCESS ART scheme of work in Year 2-6 to deliver a rich, broad, balanced, diverse and engaging art curriculum.
We alternate teaching art and design with teaching design and technology on a half termly basis and so follow the ‘split’ Access Art curriculum.
In line with ACCESS ART guidance, in the terms when our focus is Design Technology, we do two 10-minute art exercises each week.
